It is quite useful to check the Google query stats at Google Webmaster Tools now and then since you can see your SERPS rankings in detail there. In my previous article, I provided basic information about Google Webmaster Tools - now let’s proceed and get from theory to praxis by checking the Query stats for this SEO Blog:

Google Query stats: Optimized-Promotion SEO Blog

Google query stats: SEO analysis, assessment and conclusion

Let’s see how we can analyze this data to convert it to a useful conclusion:

SEO Analysis

This blog ranks for some less important SEO-related terms and some not SEO-related terms, but it does not rank for the most competitive SEO search terms which I am planning to rank for.

SEO Assessment

That’s because this blog was started just 2 months ago.

SEO Conclusion

I need to post consistently for at least some more months on SEO-relevant topics with SEO-relevant keywords and keyphrases to build up page count, inbound links, especially quality authority links and - if possible - reach Google authority status myself before I can rank for competitive SEO search terms.

I started this SEO Blog in January 2007, so it’s just been online for 2 months yet - SERPS positions of new websites need some time to improve, especially for competitive keywords. However, according to Google Query stats I do rank quite nicely for some less important keywords already, so that’s a nice start.
