“Google Webmaster Tools” is extremely helpful for SEO. Here are the most important SEO features listed by tool category:

Google Webmaster Tools - Diagnostic

The Diagnostic tools category tells you about crawl errors such as 404 errors so you can fix them to avoid ranking penalties, you can also check when Googlebot (Google’s Search Spider) last accessed your domain.

Google Webmaster Tools - Statistics

Statistics tools category gives you a quick overview on the Google Pagerank distribution within your domain. Some of the most SEO-relevant Google Webmaster Tools features are also contained here:

  • Query stats: Top search queries (Search Queries where your domain is included, sorted by number of searches, showing your corresponding SERPS rank)
