My best result was a #1 on Google for a very competitive term with a website of mine which is in the online gambling industry. The keyword was "blackjack" and there were roughly 25 Million entries at that time.

Holy shit, I made a lot of bucks with that through affiliate links - unfortunately my site dropped after a week or so, I wish I could get there again....  Grin
