Hi all,
Just joined this forum after noticing reference on statcounter forum. I am very interested in SEO and am just beginning to\put some ideas from a book into practice (slowly).

So I will look forward to reading your comments and hopefully returning some input.

In the meantime would appreciate any comments.

I am not an SEO expert - however, from what I have learned, your site is optimized quite nicely already:

  • you are using the title tag effectively (different one on each page, fitting to the context, length alright)
  • you are using h1,h2,h3 tag effectively
  • your site is "light-weight", not too many images keeping the SE spiders from crawling the content
  • you seem to have a lot of inbound links

Let's see if the experts agree with my opinion  Wink

First of all welcome to the forum, raysor!

Here are some stats that show a first, short summary of your sites from an SEO point of view.

I don't see any serious mistakes in on-page optimization, as already stated by seo-blogger, your website seems to be decently search engine optimized already. Perhaps you should use the title tag more effectively, your title tags are quite short and adding one or two keywords or phrases wouldn't hurt if they are related to the content. Here's an article on title tag optimization if you're interested.

I would also recommend to submit your sites to popular web directories, especially DMOZ.org to boost your rankings. At Dmoz, browse to the category that fits your site best and then click "suggest url". Watch their submission guidelines closely or you might not get listed. Directories are a very important source of external link power, because Google assigns a lot of authority to them.

You seem to lack traffic, according to Alexa traffic ranking. A short note to Alexa: Alexa is not good for measuring traffic accurately, but it gives an approximate impression of a website's traffic.

Social bookmarking websites (digg.com, del.icio.us,...) are a great source to get traffic from - if you write articles about your website topics that meet the criteria of a link bait, perhaps on a blog within your domain, you might be able to receive a lot of traffic to your websites.
