Why choose a keyword rich URL?

For SEO purposes, it is useful to choose a domain name that consists of one or more keywords that are relevant or related to the domain’s content.

Example for a keyword rich URL

Let’s say you write a webpage about keyword rich URLs - this domain name would be a good choice: www.keyword-rich-url.com - contains “keyword”, “rich” and “url”

Don’t choose too many keywords

It is not recommended to overexaggerate. Domains like www.this-is-a-keyword-rich-url-and-i-like-it.com may contain a lot of keywords, but if you’d ever want to sell products or services on it, your seriousness might be negatively affected by the length, and the domain name will be hard to remember for your customers. Keep the domain name to a maximum of 3 keywords, 2 are better in most cases.
