How long does it take for a 301 redirect to pass the Pagerank?

This has been an interesting question for SEOs in the past, some of us have already done testing on this topic in the past so they more or less already knew how long it would take on average for a 301 redirect to take effect on the target page’s Pagerank.
Well, now it is official: Google Engineer Adam Lasnik recently announced that it takes “a couple of weeks” for the Pagerank to pass to the target website.

Thanks to SeRoundtable for digging this up.
